The Philippine’s Department of Agriculture (DA) released Department Circular No. 3 dated 3 February 2025 declaring food security emergency on rice due to extraordinary increase in price.
This food security emergency declaration on rice was based on the findings, recommendation and Resoultion No. 01 of the National Price Coordinating Council (NPCC) of the Philippines.
The state of food security emergency shall remain in force and effect until lifted or withdrawn by the Secretary.
